The study evaluated the pharmacodynamics of in vitro synergism with Monte Carlo simulation of the combined regimens of meropenem, sulbactam and polymyxin B against extremely resistant Acinetobacter baumannii isolates, and demonstrated that this triple association provides an important synergistic action and may be a therapeutic alternative in the absence of other treatment options.
